First Advantage: the Material Thickness

  • When you buy the cells, connectors are usually included. These are only 1.5mm to 2mm thick.
  • The current has to overcome a high resistance with the included LiFePO4 connectors. 😭 The connectors get warm, the current flows poorly.
  • The higher the amperage, the more electrical charge moves through the conductor. LiFePO4 busbars from Heidi Kraken are 4mm and 6mm thick. The electrical current flows more easily. The resistance remains low. 😍
  • ✔️ Cell connectors from Heidi Kraken fit all cells from 230Ah to 310Ah. Common manufacturers are EVE, CATL.

Second Advantage: Flexibility

  • When charging and discharging LiFePO4 cells, it can happen that the cells expand slightly over time and become bulging. The distance between the poles increases. Rigid connectors do not compensate for this expansion. The poles / terminals bend or tear out. 😮
  • Damaged cells pose a danger to the cell, the battery and its safety! 🫣
  • LiFePO4 busbars from Heidi Kraken are made of flexible copper braid and adapt individually to the expansion of your LiFePO4 cells. Twists or small height differences are also compensated. 👍

Third Advantage: the Contact Surface

  • ❌ Included LiFePO4 connectors have an oval bore with M8 diameter (see below). Due to this large bore, the connectors have a small contact surface on the terminals. The contact surface is small.
  • ✔️ Connectors from Heidi Kraken fit exactly over the terminals of the cells with a hole diameter of 6.5mm and offer a high contact surface and low resistance.
